Cancellation process

All,
I booked an Apt in Bren Paddington, however I am going for cancellation since the builder – Bren Corporation is quoting too high prices with additional expenses.
The application form clearly mentions the cancellation fees are Rs 5,000, but the Bren Corporation CRM executive mentioned that it is Rs. 50,000
Kindly advise, how shall I go about it?

Hi Sumedh, This is pretty much expected from Bren. It would’ve been much tougher ahead if you proceed with buying property. Anyways, I’ve few questions before advising anything.
1) Do you have copy of application that was saying 5000/- ?? or any other proof, in their website or anywhere in email communications?
2) What is the CRM reasoning behind increasing cancellation fees 10 times?
If you can share more details, anyone on this forum can advise you.

Did they charged you 50k as refund fees. How long it took for refund to happen.
