SBA Increase in Pre-Launch

Hi,
I had booked a pre-launch apartment with a SBA mentioned. Now the builders have intimated the registration process to be started with the SBA increased but the Carpet area remains same.
Please advise if this is acceptable, and can I not negotiate on the per sqft area.

How did the SBA change, did the floorplan/masterplan change from the time of pre-launch? Was there an agreement of sale executed previously? To what extent did the SBA change?

Thanks for your response.
The SBA change was effected post the “intimation from BBMP for making the payment & getting the sanction plan”. The agreement is yet to be executed.
The floor plan hasnt changed much since the pre-launch (except for few inches). The SBA has increased by 4% but the carpet area has increased but negligibly (0.5%). This has resulted in the carpet ratio being reduced from 71% to 68%.
For the master plan, I have to yet the get any confirmation on changes if any.
