Did BDa approve gated community?

I came across a link where it had mentioned that BDA does not approve Gated community but I have heard people prefer gated community because of security and all but if it is not approved by BDA then it must be unauthorized, please share inputs….

There is no concept of Gated Community. Once a project is approved the common areas such as Roads, Parks, CA sites are handed over to the local area development authority via a relinquishment deed and the same can be opened up for public use when somebody demands for such access.
