This is unfair. There are terms that 10 to 25 % of the booking amount is not refunded on cancellation but I have not heard of holding back the entire booking amount on cancellation. You should note that Artha is just a property marketing company supported by the Times group and they tie up with smaller developers to promote their projects. Please read carefully the contract that  you have signed during the booking and you should consider taking legal action.

Thank you so much for answering me on this.

I was verbally given a commitment by their representatives to refund the complete booking amount if we wish to cancel it. Later they changed their words saying that they will refund only if there is any legal issue. I was surprised to see that they had made me fill a very shaddy booking form. It’s second point is also not visible clearly which started that the amount is non refundable. It came to limelight when I asked for refund and they produced this form. I have never booked any property earlier. I was told by my family that booking amount is always refunded by minor deductions. It has come up as a surprise to me as well when I too came to know that they are not refunding any amount.

I really want everyone to get aware of these tricks played by middle people like Artha Property.

I am surely preparing to take Legal Action against them.
