I have purchased a property in Whitefield Bangalore. Builder is saying that apart from 5.6% stamp duty and 1% registration charge, one needs to pay extra 0.5% applicable for each floor above 5.

For example if property is on 7th floor one needs to pay extra 0.5+0.5 = 1%

He even produced a document stating the same.

Is any aware of this? If so can you redirect me to any site wherein I can view such information private or preferably government site.
