About Whitefield
Whitefield is a suburb of Bangalore in the state of Karnataka, India. Prospects
Over the past few years (2004 – 2011) Whitefield has seen tremendous growth in residential and commercial developments. The International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB) and Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP Zone) housing several Indian and Multi National Companies being the initial triggers.
The stretch between Hope Farm Junction to Varthur – Marathahalli Road junction has seen vast development over this period with Hotels & Restaurants, Serviced Apartments, Villas, Residential Apartments and Schools coming up.
However the development has not been on par on the stretch between Hope Farm Junction – Kadugodi – NH4. With the Railway overbridge being completed near Kadugodi in 2009, a major connectivity bottleneck has been removed. This positive development has already triggered a number of projects on the stretch between Kadugodi railway station and the NH4 / Old Madras Road junction. Over the next few years this stretch is destined to turn out as an upmarket residential hub.
The Whitefield – Kadugodi – NH4 stretch has a number of projects – completed as well as in various stages of construction

Any new upcoming villa projects in Bangalore East?
I am exploring option of buying a plot near Saibaba Ashram Area. Has any one bought plot in this area? What in the current rate for plots in this area? Are there any gated communities (selling plots) in this area?
I have purchased a flat there recently – approx. 400 m from the Ashram. This area seems to be a very good developing area and hence went ahead with it. With Metro coming in few years from now, the demand for this area will increase many folds. Many apartments are coming up in and around Belthur
Metro will connect kadugodi that is sure. It is very good NEWS for surroung people of kadugodi.
