- Not many are convinced about blocking an apartment with 5 lacs/10 lacs and wait for an exact official launch date and an official price. Please see “Brigade Golden Triangle” for further discussions on this point
- Allotment process is not clear, since approvals are pending Brigade would not prefer to share the exact floor plans (even if shared they are subject to change) or commit on a specific unit number, however you can specify a preference list
Just want to check as i am planning to buy an apartment in brigade altamont. I see a water body or may be water reservoir right next (south east corner) to the apartment. Does anyone know what exactly is that? I am worried about the NGT norms.

I have visited site and checked with locals.There is no burial ground near brigade altamont and its 2.6 kms away next to sobha city…..

hi i saw the location there is grave yard near by which is visible from a certain height , dint find it promising , godrej also had some news of similar issues . just bcos its brigade i would not buy a apartment here. i be looking at different builders.

As per sales, foundation work started and expected possession by march 2015.

Any idea how is the approach road, and how far is the project from Hennur Road?
Approach road is bit narrow from hennur but I think it will be improved after all the major projects are over in the hennur road. But I feel its better to use Thanisandra road which is just 1km from Altamont via Narayanapura cross road. That’s the reason, the project is good for accessibility and location.
Kapil – The project is 1KM from Hennur road and 4.5KM from Outer Ring Road.

No Idea of the launch date.. They were suppose to launch within Dec 31st.. But the piling work has started and even the bore is also done. I visited the place last weekend..

I visited the site yesterday and the work was going on. Few blocks foundation work is over and pillars are coming up and another block foundation is being dug. Work seems to be going on well.
The place is changing fast.. Everyday there is a change. Today morning the Board came up. I have blocked a 3 BR by paying 10 L, looks promising. This area has changed so much over the last few years (Hennur). Positive is that it is 1 km away from Hennur Road and yet not much inside. Also connectivity to Airport Road, Manyata, ORR etc is good.
Did you get any information on the launch date? Do you think of any water problem in this area? Thanks.
December 2012 is what they are still sticking to. However work has started slowly on the site.. Regarding water, I think it is a big problem all over Bangalore, not sure here.
Water shouldnt be a problem there, near by there are bores from which taker water suppliers pump water.
Golden Palms near by too is using bore water.
and water qlty is good as tested by my friend staying in GP.
really thanisandra road and hennur road face has changed in last 2 years ….i rem 2 years back we used to mock our frnds who used to stay at mantri splendour as to jungle key beech mein …now its a happening place !!! time transforms

A collegues relative is the orignal land owner , and he sold off the land to a holding company of brigade. (the big builders never buy directly i guess) he used to have a 80 year old house on the land but they have NOT sold that off , the house will remain with them along with the main road access . The property golden triangle is almost on the back approach from the side of the plot and mall and office will come road facing on either side of the 80 year old house which these guys still own.

Is it confirmed that a mall is also coming in this area? How big is the plot/layout?
At 4000 per SQFT Altamount seems to be very costly, especially at Prelaunch with no details, even floor plan not available. Right at the same location near Kristu Jayanti College, there is a luxury project Wisdom Tree Community by Expat properties, which comes at 3100 per SQFT, noting that this is Expat’s first project onl;y. Hence Altamount seems to be extremely costly, though Birgade is top tier builder.
Any views on this from experts?
pls read expat thread …i was also liking it initially but found out the carpet (usable) area to be a joke ONLY 62 % …!!! for 2 bhk without courtyard and 64 % for 2bhk with courtyard !! the sizes were funny !! 12 by 12 sitting room !! 10 by 10 rooms !! altough the price is low but if u see it actually costs you a LOT MORE as they have played around with the carpet area !!
Gaurav, It is a good observation. I also noted that and factored in the carpet area in comparison. For the reason that he is a new builder and that it is smaller rooms, I did not take that. But theme seems to be good. May be good luck for him next time. However, when booking is with all those details, at 4000 altamont may be costly. It is just an opnion.
How do you compare this project with Brigade Golden Triangle , five years down the lane ?
Brigade altamont is a stand alone development and Golden triangle is an integrated project with a 3 miilion sq feet office and a mall as well …also location is awesome of Goldn tringle as its bang on highway and also intersection of the whitefield road ….5 years later any day the % gain from Goldn tri will be more …in percentage terms !
but Golden triangle is 3k tentatively and launch is dec 2012 so wait n watch ….its a stud farm and a beautiful land parcel today with lots of trees and a good road frontage !
